Dr. Smriti Shrivastava is a highly qualified counsellor and social worker with over 25 years of dedicated professional experience serving individuals, families, and communities across Madhya Pradesh. Her practice is distinguished by a rare and powerful combination: the rigour of advanced academic training, the breadth of long-standing clinical experience, and a genuine, deeply held commitment to the well-being of those she serves.
Dr. Shrivastava brings to every session not only the depth of her qualifications, but the wisdom of over two decades spent walking alongside people through some of life's most challenging moments.

Dr. Shrivastava holds a PhD in Social Work from Rani Durgatwati Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh alongside a Master of Science and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Family Therapy from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She is also a UGC NET qualified scholar (2012) and holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from MMMEC Gorakhpur — a technical foundation that informs her analytical and systematic approach to therapeutic work.
Her specialist training in Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT) underpins her clinical practice, offering clients an evidence-based, values-driven framework for navigating life's challenges and cultivating meaningful, lasting change.
Clinical Focus
For the past decade, Dr. Shrivastava's clinical work has centred on empowering some of society's most vulnerable populations — women, children, families, and the elderly. Her approach is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a firm belief in every individual's capacity for growth and healing.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Shrivastava has made significant contributions to the academic field of social work and counselling. She has served as an Assistant Professor at Katni Arts and Commerce College and as Guest Faculty at Government Arts and Commerce College, Sagar, and Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University (MPBOU), Bhopal — bringing her real-world expertise into the classroom and helping shape the next generation of practitioners.
